To all Affiliated Clubs
The AGM of NARA will be held in The Creggan Court Hotel Athlone on Sunday 20th February 2011 2pm to 4pm.
The next number of years will prove difficult in terms of public funding for any projects. Game angling activities are likely to be well down the scale of priorities when it comes to distribution of scarce public funding.
With this in mind NARA are anxious to develop a database of development projects that member clubs are hopeful to progress. If your club has such a project in mind can you please contact our secretary to discuss benifets and costings. We will then work in conjunction with the clubs to access funding and expert project help through Inland Fisheries Ireland and other available sources.

National Anglers Representative Association. Founded 1988
Serving Game Angling.
Our Mission is to conserve protect and restore our Wild Trout and Salmonid Habitats throughout this Island. We believe that we have a duty to future generations to pass on our fishery habitats in pristine condition so that our children may have the opportunity to experience wild trout and salmon angling.
NARA recognises the absolute importance of all of our truly wild trout fisheries within this state and will work to ensure that these fisheries and habitats are managed as wild trout fisheries. This includes a commitment to predator control based on sound scientific advice and guidance.
NARA will lobby European, National and Local Government on behalf of anglers in relation to pollution and environmental issues.
We will encourage development of Game Angling in our rivers and lakes
We will lobby for the introduction of measures to control and eliminate foreign invasive species from our waterways.
We will work to ensure the restoration of Salmon, Sea Trout, and Wild Brown Trout habitat throughout the island.
We will provide competitive insurance to all our clubs
We will provide advice and help to our member clubs on issues affecting their local waters.
